About Bento Boxes:

Simply put, Bento boxes are Japanese lunchboxes. Originally, a decorated bento was intended to interest children in their food and to encourage a wider range of eating habits. It has now evolved to the point where national contests are held. Packing lunches in these can be artful, fun and cute. The phenomenon of bento lunch making was recently featured in the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/09/dining/09bento.html) and has also become a dieter’s best friend.
